Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
When seeking help for a drug or alcohol problem it is important to decide on the proper level of care necessary to treat your addiction. There are many factors to consider, including your diagnosis, previous treatment history, and the time you have available to put toward your recovery. At Riverwalk Ranch we know that not everyone can put their life on hold to complete a full, thirty-day, inpatient rehab. That is why we provide a flexible treatment program that utilizes the full spectrum of our evidence-based treatment modalities in an intensive outpatient program.
What is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for clients who do not require medical detox or 24-hour supervision. As opposed to an inpatient treatment program, where patients are in the constant care of our addiction treatment counselors, an Outpatient program allows our clients to schedule their recovery around other commitments.
Outpatient rehab is for people suffering from addictions that have a safe home life. Ideal candidates live with family members who are supportive of their effort to get sober. Conversely, addicts and alcoholics who are prone to environmental triggers or who have roommates or family members who drink or use drugs in their residence are recommended to seek inpatient treatment or a sober living facility.
Our IOP allows recovering addicts to continue receiving medical and psychiatric treatment after, or instead of, completing a full, residential rehab program.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program
To accommodate all of our clients' personal and professional responsibilities, Riverwalk Ranch offers flexible scheduling that allows clients to tend to their daily duties while getting the treatment that they need to remain clean and sober.
Our clients visit Riverwalk Ranch’s Dallas Outpatient Rehab three to five days a week for cognitive behavioral therapy, pharmacological therapy, family therapy, and life coaching. Our intensive outpatient program allows clients to have accountability and support while continuing to live within their community. We also encourage family participation to help heal the wounds that come with active addiction. Our family program provides individual counseling sessions, group therapy, and life skill workshops.
The goal of our outpatient program is to give our clients the keys to longterm recovery. We ensure that they are equipped for the task by helping them to work through a12-Step program and learn about accountability and relapse prevention. All of these skills are necessary to break the cycle of addiction and live a sober life.
